What Is Daily Life Like at Seascape in Sentosa Cove?

Seascape Life Starts at the Water

Daily life at Seascape is shaped by its position at the very end of Cove Way, where Sentosa Cove meets the open sea. Lawns and coconut palms line a promenade at the seaward edge of the grounds, Tanjong Beach is about a kilometre away along the coast, and the marina and the restaurants of Quayside Isle lie within a kilometre to the north.

From the seaward homes the view crosses the anchorage of the Singapore Strait, where ships ride at anchor and their lights mark the water after dark, to the Southern Islands on the horizon. That outlook is what the developer’s fact sheet promises, and the sunset and dusk photographs in the gallery capture it.

It is a quieter rhythm than the city’s, set by the tide, the light on the water and the short distances of the island, yet HarbourFront is about ten minutes away by road when the city is needed.

Beaches and Golf Near Seascape

Heading west from the site, a string of sandy bays follows the island’s southern coast. Tanjong Beach, the nearest, is about 1.0 kilometre from Seascape in a straight line on OneMap, with a broad lawn of palms behind the sand; Palawan Beach follows about 2.0 kilometres away.

Away from the coast lies Sentosa Golf Club, about 1.1 kilometres from Seascape; Allanbrooke Road, the way into the cove, passes between its fairways. The developer provided a golf locker at the lobby for each apartment, and the guide to Tanjong Beach and the southern shore follows the coast further west.

The Southern Islands are part of the view rather than a distant landmark. St John’s Island is about 2.6 kilometres from the site, Kusu about 3.1 kilometres and Lazarus about 3.2 kilometres, and the Southern Islands guide explains which homes face them most directly.

The Marina and Quayside Isle from Seascape

The ONE°15 Marina club, at 11 Cove Drive, is about 0.7 kilometres from the site, and Quayside Isle on Ocean Way, with its waterfront restaurants, about 0.9 kilometres. Together they form the social centre of Sentosa Cove, close enough for an evening out without leaving the enclave.

Boat owners at the marina can also cross to the Southern Islands by private craft; for everyone else, the Singapore Land Authority notes that ferries to St John’s and Kusu islands leave from Marina South Pier.

Seascape at Home: Grounds Between the Blocks and the Sea

Much of the day can be spent without leaving the development. The Sky Pool on the seaward edge, the Forest Pool among the gardens, the Great Deck and the Ocean Terraces fill the ground between the blocks and the shore, and the gymnasium, clubhouse and steam rooms sit near the entrance. The article on the Seascape facilities lists every lettered place on the site plan.

The scale of the homes adds to the sense of space. With 151 homes on a site of 14,596 square metres, two blocks of eight storeys and a private lift lobby to every home, Seascape is a low-rise, unhurried place to live.

Inside the homes, the plan is made for entertaining as much as for daily life: a gourmet kitchen with a wine cellar sits in front of a separate Asian kitchen, the living and dining rooms face the sea, and the first-storey homes open onto private enclosed spaces beside the gardens.

A Week in the Life at Seascape

A weekday might begin with laps in the Sky Pool before the drive across the bridge, about ten minutes to HarbourFront by road on Google Maps. Evenings bring the short trip to Quayside Isle or the ONE°15 Marina club, both within a kilometre, or simply the terraces at dusk as the lights come up on the ships in the strait.

Weekends stretch further along the island. Tanjong Beach is about a kilometre along the coast, Sentosa Golf Club sits inland at a similar distance, and Resorts World Sentosa lies at the western end of the island. A day on the Southern Islands begins with a ferry from Marina South Pier to St John’s or Kusu.

For residents who would rather stay in, the Great Deck, the Party Terrace and the function room give room to entertain, and the penthouses and villas have pools of their own.

Seascape and the Future of Sentosa

The Sentosa Development Corporation announced the Sentosa-Brani Master Plan on 20 September 2019, setting out five zones for the two islands to unfold in phases over two to three decades. Its focus is leisure and attractions; Sentosa Cove, the residential district of the island, is the established neighbourhood beside it.

A master plan states intentions; individual projects are confirmed and scheduled one at a time, and progress is reported by the Sentosa Development Corporation itself. The Sentosa-Brani master plan guide summarises the plan, and the Seascape location page gives every distance from the site.

The Seascape amenities page gathers the places around the site in three rings, from Sentosa Cove itself to the island and across the bridge.
